Invitation-only Preview Evening Friday, 23 July 2010 To be opened by Maurice Monk, owner of the Cantley House Hotel and Artsbar. Mr Monk is active in local events and is very encouraging of all things ‘arty’. Freda Anderson will judge the paintings eligible for awards. The awards will be presented by John Redwood MP |

| The two week Summer Exhibition is still the society's main event with well over 100 paintings sold every year - and that's without the ceramics, glass, jewellery and greetings cards! | A special feature of the WASoc Summer Exhibition is that the artwork is sold 'from the wall' and replaced with new work. It becomes a rolling exhibition: different every day (come 2 or 3 times). No other local Art Society does this. |
| Prizes are awarded annually for
outstanding work. Children's table. Materials are provided to keep them busy while you look at the exhibition. Results can be left on display or taken home. |
