| A "Wokingham and District Arts Group" was originally formed in 1956
when Mrs Jean Whitford and a group of local artists obtained permission to hold
an open air exhibition in the forecourt of Montague House, Broad Street,
Wokingham. This event was enthusiastically embraced by the public and was a
tremendous success. The group changed its name to the Wokingham Art Society at the end of 2008 and now boasts a membership of well over 200. |

| Past Demonstrations Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep. Scott Adams The monthly demonstrations are an invaluable aid to progressing your own work as there is always something new to learn. So, for those that couldn't make it to the demo, and as a refresher for those that did, we will be archiving them from this page (early ones are PDF files). Unless I happen to be there, however, this will only happen if someone sends them to me. How to submit photos |
